Far from calm

IN A PANIC

In Greek mythology, Pan was a lecherous god who was part-man and part-goat, and one who fell in love with Echo the mountain nymph. Echo refused Pan’s advances so that he became very angry. Pan’s anger created a “panic” (a word derived from the name “Pan”) and a group of shepherds were driven to kill Echo.

The phrase “far from calm” suggests a state of emotional distress or agitation. If someone says they are far from calm, it means they are quite the opposite of calm – they might be feeling anxious, stressed, upset, or agitated. It indicates a heightened emotional state that is characterized by unease or turmoil. If you or someone you know is feeling this way, it’s essential to reach out for support and talk to someone who can offer assistance or understanding.
